One Day Mural Painting Course For Adults

This unique painting course is for anyone wanting to learn how to successfully paint a mural. The course embraces all types of artistic skill level, from the beginner right through to experienced artist. This course is suitable for all artistic abilities and can be adapted to suit the individual.

Joanna runs the course from her home, a Grade II listed Coach House, set in the scenic Cheshire countryside. The course is designed to give you an exciting, fun, inspiring painting experience.

You will get to design, develop and paint your own mural design painting. You will also learn:

Throughout the first day I will spend time demonstrating a range of painting techniques, and you will have fun trying out each technique on a practice board, to see which you enjoy and might want to incorporate into your own mural painting. You will learn how to create different effects and experiment with creating textures and mark making.

My aim is to inspire, encourage and support your individual style as you get to learn and experience a range of painting techniques used specifically for painting mural art.

After trying out a range of exercises with the paint you will then begin work on your creating your own mural painting.  I guide you through creating the design for your mural, from inspiration, purpose of the piece to scaling and composition of your artwork.

I share methods to help you achieve a smooth and successful mural piece, and we discuss any queries you might have before being painting. Guidance, advice and tuition will be given throughout the day whilst you get to paint and create your own unique mural.

You will be supplied with everything you need to complete the course, from paint and equipment to mural painting boards.

You will learn painting tips and tricks from one of the UK’s top mural artists, as she shares her knowledge and breadth of painting experience with you.
