Joanna Perry Celebrates 15 Years as a Top Mural Artist!

I love my job. As a professional mural painter, I get to travel across the UK, bringing peoples' creative ideas to life on their walls in a rainbow of colour. Custom mural painting is my absolute passion, so it's little wonder I've been doing it for so many years!

I started honing my mural artist skills as a teenager, painting unique designs on mine and my friends' bedroom walls. I graduated from university with a Ba Hons in Design - Surface Pattern, but it was only after having my first child that I started to think about mural painting as a career. And so, my hand painted wall murals business was born!

For the past 15 years, I have been painting murals UK wide (and sometimes across Europe too!) in homes, businesses, and community spaces. Highlights so far include painting for the British Forces over in Germany and working to bring colour to local communities in conjunction with a leading paint manufacturer.

For all the "glamour" I've experienced, I still adore home mural painting. I get so much pleasure from seeing a client's reaction to their newly decorated wall! The look of pure joy on a child's face when they see superheroes springing from their bedroom walls, the delight that a nursery mural brings to new parents, the astonishment at how a living room mural has transformed a bland space... those are the reasons I've had such a blast the last 15 years!
